Academically Dr.S.B.SENTHIL KUMAR, Director - Dept of Logistics & Shipping, Coimbatore Marine college and former Principal of CMC , Coimbatore is a B.Sc. Computer Science Graduated, Post Graduated in International Business, Pursued TOTA Basic Marine Course, Completed his Master of Philosophy in Management, and received his Doctoral degree in Management specialization of logistics &shipping . Recently Completed Advance Diploma In Maritime Law In Nalsar Law University - Hyderabad He has keen interests in area of International Business, Export Import Documentation procedure, Logistics and Port Management, Maritime Law and shipping business. His External associations are with , Indian Maritime University, Mumbai University, Alagappa University Inspection Committee member , Also visiting faculty and advisory panel committee member ,For center of maritime excellence in Mumbai university , also the trainers for the export - trade business , logistics and shipping practical training modules and attend the guest session in related to EXIM and SHIPPING business to all the leading colleges / universities.

Professionally he started his career as an Executive for Serving Customers in Export Import Documentation for Golden Gulf Line Private Limited. Subsequently, he was called by SAFMARINE CONTAINER LINE, Tuticorin/ Tirupur and appointed as the Senior Executive for Documentation, Sales & Customer Service. After serving there for a couple of years, his passion for teaching made him to take the assignment of heading the Department of MBA Logistics & Shipping in Coimbatore Marine College, Coimbatore. On seeing his commitment, dedication and sincerity, he is been promoted as Director of CMC Group of Institutions for one year. His continuous motivation and smart work have paved way to reach greater heights. He is deemed to be the Youngest Principal in the history of Coimbatore Marine College,Coimbatore.

Beside his contributions to academia, he is also a Member in Coimbatore Management Association, Export promotion center ,Coimbatore Steamer Agent Association and Logistics Management Professional. He is also certified by Bureau of VERITAS as an Internal Auditor for ISO 9001:2008 standards.

Fluent in Tamil, Hindi, and Malayalam, he is a literature lover, wildlife naturalist, and All India Radio Poet Laureate. An accredited dramatist and translator, he translated "Anatomic Therapy," a 400-page self-healing book, from Tamil to Hindi.
