The main focus of the placement team of CMC, School of Maritime Studies is to offer students with guidance and insights regarding career paths and equip students well for their Internship and Placement recruitment process. Under the guidance of Dr.S.B Senthil Kumar, Director, School of Maritime Studies, CMC placement team trains and guide the students with wide range of following activities.

Internship

The team devotedly works for creating the opportunity for the students to network with the reputed shipping and logistics companies before entering the workforce. It is a great way to gain experience and exposure to make a smooth transition into your role when hired.

GDs, Mock Tests, and Interviews

The placement team conducts various sessions of mock tests, interviews and Group Discussions. Practicing for a GD helps the students structure their thoughts and frame logical discussions. Mock interviews help the Candidates to identify their strengths and weaknesses, and improve them before the actual interview.

Virtual Guru Application

CMC students are privileged to practice Virtual Guru, a highly comprehensive web- based application for conducting online test and Performance Analysis. Every week mock tests are conducted which is a simulated environment for the students to access their knowledge, identify areas of improvement, and boost their confidence before the placement Interviews.

Soft Skill Training at CMC School of Maritime Studies

Corporate world time and again ranks soft skills as the most important criterion when considering candidates for employment. CMC School of Maritime Studies has established a Soft Skill team as Soft Skill training in institutions is need of the hour.

CMC adopted a unique blend of classroom teaching along with interactive and engaging activities such as Talk shows named Left Right and Center, Bone of Contention and Socratic talk. Soft Skill team designs and delivers various outbound training in the most enriching style with effective learning.

CMC encourages students embark on a journey to know themselves better and boost their self-confidence to face the challenging corporate world. By making soft skills training as a mandatory part of curriculum, CMC School of Maritime Studies strives to improve students’ employability percentage, personal and professional success.

The team assigns weekly classes, mandatory credits and compulsory evaluation for all the students, so as to prepare and empower the students for incredible transformation.
